I’ve been going to CrossFit Scioto for about a year and I couldn’t ask for a better gym or community to be a part of. The coaches understand that CrossFit isn’t a one size fits all program – people are going to have different strengths and weaknesses. They focus on helping you better yourself every day. Setting personal goals knowing what you need to work on to achieve them. The location is awesome in the heart of Grandview and I love the class schedule. But more importantly I’ve made some great friends along the way!
I am not the average CrossFitter. I am above average. I started at CrossFit Scioto close to their opening date. I am 58 and a half years old. I hadn’t really exercised since, well, ever. I was pretty active, but not with anything organized. It was and still is hard! Really hard. Sore for three months hard. The coaches at Scioto scaled everything for me in the beginning. This way I was successful in mind and body. The community of athletes is as encouraging as the coaches are. It really keeps me attending classes and in the mindset that I can keep improving my fitness. I’ll likely never compete in a CrossFit competition but I will stay active and play well with my grandchildren and teach them to do burpees.
Visiting from out of town, I was immediately welcomed by coaches as I walked through the door. It’s a top-notch facility and top-notch Rogue equipment–love the bumper plates. Coach Chelsea is very knowledgeable and gave great instruction. If you live in the area, you need to check this place out. Very nice.
